Dior opens its first boutique in Vienna
Right in the heart of the historic city centre, also known as “Golden U” and known for luxurious watchmaker and jewellery boutiques, the boutique shows the newest collections from the fashion house on two levels. On the ground floor, watches and accessories, the scents from the Privée Christian Dior collection and leather goods are presented in an individually created leather area, while the first floor handles everything that deals with shoes and the newest Prêt-à-Porter women’s collections.
Just like the creations, the furnishing of the boutique is elegant and modern, refined and bold. Artworks and furniture from renowned designers raise the special flair of the Avenue Montaigne No. 30. Mirrors reworked by Rob Wynne with transparent dots or letters hang on the wall and turn into sculptures. Single-colour painted panels from Alex Turco were installed on the ceiling. Everywhere in the boutique you will find designer furniture in never-ending grey nuances from Véronique Rivemale or Alasdair Cooke, Laurent Chauvat or Philippe Montels, Andrew Martin or Stefan Leo. As in the historical location of the house, there are grey and white colours that Christian Dior liked so much on the walls that create an atmosphere where the traditional, French sophistication comes in a dialogue with modern creativity.
